About Dr. Mangat
When Dr. Harman Mangat tells patients he knows how to handle a dental emergency, it isn’t a slogan—it’s his career.
Dr. Mangat holds hospital privileges at Markham Stouffville Hospital, where he treats acute dental trauma alongside physicians, and serves on the faculty at the University of Toronto as a clinical instructor in emergency dentistry/oral diagnosis. He doesn’t just practice emergency care—he teaches it.
A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Dr. Mangat brings more than two decades of clinical experience to every patient. He is known for slowing down with anxious patients. People arrive in pain and afraid; his first job is to put them at ease— and then get them out of pain. He is an early adopter of technology that makes care faster and more comfortable, from digital scanning to remote dental monitoring.
Beyond the chair, Dr. Mangat has a deep interest in giving back. Most recently, he attended dental missions with Smile Outreach International in Roatán, Honduras.
